Even if we capture all emissions produced today and in the future, we would still face the consequences of 200 years’ worth of accumulated CO₂. While there are international goals to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050, the existing damage will leave challenges for future generations to solve.

To effectively mitigate climate change, we need to reduce global temperatures by 2.5°C. According to the International Energy Agency (IEA), power generation accounts for 40% of global emissions.
